Out of School Time Programming

In January 2008, New York City’s Department for Youth and Community Development (DYCD) awarded Young Dancers in Repertory an Out of School Time (OST) grant through which we provide children in grades K-5 at P.S. 127 in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, with dance, music, theater and visual art classes in an environment that is safe, nurturing and rewarding.

 

We seek to challenge and inspire students to develop creative expression and to work individually and collectively in artistic expression that celebrates diversity.

 

Moreover, the program looks to strengthen students' academic skills, support their physical well-being an self-esteem and provide the tools necessary to grow into productive adults.
